Lauren is a licensed social worker, psychologist, and yoga therapist. She views mental health holistically and collaborates with clients to develop individualized and integrative paths to healing. Lauren works with individuals experiencing a variety of challenges, and her specialties include trauma, anxiety and depression, grief/loss, relationship concerns, sexuality, gender identity, and chronic illness.
Lauren practices from a relational and psychodynamic lens, attending to the ways in which our relationships, earlier life experiences, and social location impact our well-being. She is known for her compassionate, empowering approach, and she works with her clients to build authentic relationships that promote healing and growth.
Lauren received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of California, San Diego and her Master of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She has experience providing individual, family, and group therapy and has worked in a variety of settings, including community mental health, college counseling, and hospitals. Lauren’s yoga training includes certifications at the 200-hour level from Dhyana Yoga and at the 500-hour level in yoga therapy from the YogaLife Institute. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance. In addition to Well-Being Center, Lauren works as a therapist at Therapy Center of Philadelphia and teaches yoga.
Lauren is a fee-for-service therapist and does not accept insurance at this time
