Laura, a National Certified Counselor (NCC), has over four years experience working with addictions, co-occurring disorders, and a variety of other mental health needs in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including medication assisted treatments. Her interests expand to low self-esteem, relationship issues, chronic pain, depression, life changes and transitions, and older adults. Laura uses evidence based practices and is trained in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). With a true belief in the mind-body-spirit connection, Laura embraces techniques such as Mindfulness, and encourages individuals to explore holistic adjunctive therapies such as yoga and other health behaviors. Laura's empathic approach includes focusing on developing the therapeutic relationship, using an individualized and collaborative approach in sessions and treatment planning. Together we will explore negative patterns, develop a positive outlook, and foster overall personal growth and well-being.
